Young, cheerful, and just oozing with positivity. His BMW is clean inside and out, polished, vacuumed, and even perfumed. Fast yest smooth driving style. Based in Staritsa, easy access to Tver and Rzhev. Regularly travels to Moscow.
But no, I will not place you into Safe category. Sorry, Dima. It’s either safe OR fast. Can’t have both. I’m adding you to the VIP section however. No English is no problem because a VIP client expect his driver to keep his mouth shut.
If you do insist on speed, Dima is as safe of a pick as you can make. His English is limited but given my special relationship with Dima (he took over my Horse Riding and the Dacha Experience project thus freeing me from what at some point threatened to turn into an eternal exile) I’m more than willing to act as an interpreter over the phone.
I can’t easily retrieve old client feedback on Dima but it’s been almost invariably great, especially from young women. Some old grouchy types complained of excessive speed, playing rap, and taking friends along for a ride but I’ve personally reprimanded him till he dropped these teenager habits.
Excellent eyesight, no problem driving at night, and he does not get tired easily, 1000km/day is no problem for Dima, especially if you let him play a bit of his god-awful music.
Dima knows the auto market and is a great resource person if you plan to buy a car in Russia. I’ve made the Delegate your car related cares and worries to us page precisely with Dima in mind. Unlike the old grouch Uncle Pasha who is acting in the webmaster capacity here, Dima will spare you a killjoy lecture on all the difficulties, annoyances, and risks associated with car ownership in Russia but will instead enthusiastically help you in selecting the right auto and going though all the subsequent procedures. He will also help you with maintenance, repairs, or supervision that these are done right in a shop.
Cars is his professional interest too. Dima is about to graduate with a diploma in Management in the Transportation Business. His mother is an accomplished seamstress. Dima has been assisting me with the Dacha and Horse Riding project in Staritsa for years and finally took over the project after I’ve had my fill of the Russian countryside.
Write to firstname.lastname@example.org. E-mails in English no problem, especially if you don’t forget to copy to me. In fact I usually end up coordinating his jobs. No problem given how much he contributes to keeping my old LR from disintegrating into rust and dust. Dima’s usual response time is “within a day”. No use attempting to speak with him over the phone in English but text +7 920 155 7003 if you need his immediate attention. He can read no problem but spoken English is largely beyond him at the moment.
